Newb question...

Are the achievements "region" specific? For example, I played Kung-Fu, TwinBee and Track and Field last night for NES. It showed up on my page that I was playing but I did not record any cheevs. I noticed that all 3 of those games were running (j) versions and not (u).

HALP.

Yes , unfortunately most of the sets are region specific. Usually they are U[!] compatible. Check each game page forum / comments you want to try. Developers usually mention what rom they used to create the set.

Yeah, ROMs from different regions usually have the RAM addresses slightly skewed from other regions. Most people make achievement list with NTSC (North American) ROMs if available.

I may need to DL a new set of NES ROMS. It's strange I was playing "NTSC" versions of the same games. They show up on RA but still no cheevs. Just to make sure I wan't nuts I played Sonic 1 and got a cheev right away so I know Im connected.

Could it even be I'm running a bad emulator. I use Nestopia currently.
