Would be interesting to have achievements for this hack. It's not a story based one like Light Platinum, but considering Strike is pretty much an upgraded Yellow, I figure this would qualify.

The link for the .ips patch is

http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2277/

I have no idea how doable it would be for someone to make achievements because I have no idea if the RAM values change in any meaningful way. If they're not changed, then it would be

Some differences in the achievements would be

151 Pokemon because the hack makes it so you can catch them all.

Maybe one for the optional Rival fight if you try to head toward Pokemon league before getting the first badge. That one is actually missing for the original sets. Or even Rival fights in general.

The maps are drastically changed up, and you have to actually go through the cave to Lavender without Flash in the hack. With the changes to the maps and the forced darkness, even getting through the cave could probably be an achievement. In fact, this is where I quit the game the first time I tried playing it, but I'd like to play it again soon and try to clear the game.

Safari Zone is a lot harder to get through. One of the LPs of the hack mentions that you need 499 out of the 500 steps allowed in order to get to the Surf HM. So for the same reason as the one cave, maybe that would be worth an achievement.

The battles are drastically changed to be difficult, and some of the exploitable bugs have been fixed.

Something like Elite Stomp would not work since the E4 is now level 100 and actually has good setups. It should still be possible with less than 6 Pokemon, but I have no idea what number would be a good cutoff.

There'd be no need for level based achievements. You apparently need level 100 just to beat the game, and it is possible to buy rare candies at Indigo Plateau, so it is not necessary to have an achievement for leveling.

All sorts of Pokemon are available in various areas that would change up the gameplay and strategies.

That is so incredibly rude. :deng:

>Catch all Legendaries in one session w/out leaving cave or using Master Balls (20)

Unless they've been moved from the original version I don't see how this is possible.

>THE Kaizo Achievement (40)

I don't even want to take a guess on what this will be because I don't want to give you ideas.

I'm looking forward to this hack even if it does have a "Who hurt you"-tier achievement like Kaizo Mario.

I haven't gotten there, but I've read that all legendaries have been relocated to Cerulean Cave

Oh, I'm already set on what it's going to be, but I'm not going to reveal it yet. Anyone can guess all they want, but I won't reply to any guesses. It's pretty obvious what it might be, but that's all I'll say.

Oh well, because I couldn't find Ditto on Route 22, seems like very rare. Two dittos (one from Power Plant where Bird stays and other in Seaform Cave).
