Another reason why I suggested the backpack one is because it's kind of hard getting back alive before the frogs come in.

I could make it to get the life and get back before the frogs spawn, using the in-game timer, since it is a set time. Though Y coordinates don't seem to exist as far as I can tell. As it is, you can kinda just save the attempt until the boss is dead, since killing all the frogs is rather easy.

Edit: Found Coordinates

Wow, I feel silly; I always do it Rambo style and go for the life right at the start, instead of just waiting it out, easily.

Changed it to work with either strategy, just have to get back up after grabbing it. Should be fine to keep up there with that.

Field Map and game info

Fields 9, 13, 19, 27, 32, 39, 44, 53, 54, 58, and 59 are not in the game. There are blank spaces for these fields on the practice menu, though this is probably just for formatting reasons.

Field 28 can only be reached through the 30 minute rule - after 30 minutes, any door can lead to an end field. Keep in mind that this can lead to other end fields, not just field 28.

Backpacks can be found on fields 2, 4, 8, 10, 16, 18, 30, 31, 34, 46, 48, 50, and 52.

I've added time attack leaderboards to each of the game's 49 stages.

Debugged the time attack leaderboards.

Added Retroarch BCD support. Fixed it so the boards actually turn on. Inverted the millisecond so it counts down instead of up. Adjusted the time offset so it showed the exact amount of time remaining. Made it so it would submit at the exact frame that the player enters the door, as the millisecond counter continues to cycle after entering the door negating the point of having a millisecond counter before this fix.

With the set cap gone, each set will be re-scored, proportionally to other sets using the new scoring system.

If you've played or mastered the Umihara Kawase set, or have a strong sense of it, you can help by entering how you feel the set should be scored. How you score it, along with other users, for this and a number of other important sets will have a big impact on how all sets are scored in the future.

Here's a link to the scoring sheet:
