What's the difference between winning and defeating?

"Defeat the computer" means to be the first to win three games.

I would love to try and do this. But it's all in Japanese. Also the game just doesn't work sometimes.

The three options in the start screen are basically easy (won't let you make chombos), medium (let's you make chombos), and hard (let's you make chombos, and each turn has a time limit).

The action cursor starts on (ron/tsumo), and going down from that is (kan), (chi), (pon), (riichi)I think that's all the relevant Japanese in the game.

How the game works: You can only declare calls if your opponents recently placed tile matches ones in your hand (Pon: Have 2), (Kan: Have 3), (Chi: Have 2 in sequence like 1 and 2).

Agari is to declare victory after getting the correct hand (4 Sets of 3 and 2 matching tiles) while Reach is to signify that you will get extra points at the cost of 1000 and limits the tiles you can have to the ones you need.

If you declared Pon, Kan, or Chi already, you just need matching sets in the existing hand you have, so if you have 3 sets of 3 out, you just need another set of 3 and 2 matching tiles (Press B to make a call for a matching set)

And also, your hand needs to have at least one pattern or win condition in order to win with it. http://arcturus.su/wiki/List_of_yaku

Also forgot, if you have all 4 tiles of a specific type in your hand, use Kan on your turn
