Yeah that room is the best cost/benefit xp in the early game prior to the boulder after Jinn so I went back there ASAP.

I might be missing something somewhere, but the thought some chest ended up in Hyne's Cid's Mountain Pass, the Sunken Ship or another non backtraceable area makes the process of combing the game a second time not worth it if areas are locked out

I MAY have overlooked Alter Cave after the many resets I had to do. However, grinding for Onion drops will make me cry. You can't edit them in game, I tried for giggles, unless you do the upgrade exploit. Haven't tried that one yet.

Just finished. :) "No Stone Unturned" popped for me after I beat the last Zidane clone. I was like "if this doesn't work I'm going to scream!" I played the game again from scratch just for this cheev. (albeit with save states this time)

I used http://vgmaps.com/Atlas/NES/index.htm#FinalFantasyIII for maps.

For Onion drops I turned the dragons into toads. Whether that method of defeating them actually increases the chance as some sites claim or not I don't know but there ya go.

I used the final 2 floors of Sylx for Green and Yellow dragons. You will hate yourself if you fight them on the lower floors because the other enemies that get in the way suck. But on the last two floors the encounters are easy if they arent dragon

Some of the achievements for bosses/items will not occur if you use Petrification via Brak 2 or the the effect of the Break sword on them. Just a heads up for those playing and seem confused.

dumb question but, didn't the latest translation also work? , the 1999 one kinda sucks. I wish to play this game, no hack or rebalance, just the most complete translation.

"Heroes of a Different Story" is probably the only achievement that wouldn't work in those. I could remove it, link the other versions, and see what happens...

Thanks for your response , I have tried this one http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1590/But achievements doesn't pop =(The newest traslation i found was based on the DS game, that doesn't seems interesting as I played the DS game already.

"Heroes of a Different Story" has been demoted to unofficial, and the Ninja/Sage cheevo boosted a point so the set's still 400. My eventual next playthrough of this will be with the more recent translation to make sure this set will work with it.

Okay, the 2016 translation should be easy to get working. The second byte of the text pointers is slightly different, so I just have to add alts for those and it'll be fully functional. I'll post here when I'm done...

I thought I got everything for certain, but using the Memory Inspector suggests that I missed 3 things: Something in Kazus at 0x6041 Bit 5, Something in Gisahl at 0x6048 Bit 3, and Something in Fargabaad at 0x606a Bit 3...

I triple checked these areas with maps, and still no luck finding these 3. Normally, I wouldn't mind playing the game again for this achievement, But I find it a bit pointless because they're all in areas that are revisitable.

The Kazus one is evil. I only just recently added it, actually. Check around the tavern.

Oh dang, that one was pretty sneaky indeed. And I found the others, too. Turns out they were right in my face the whole time... I feel dumb now. D: But with that, I finally got FF3 Mastered! Thanks for the set, man. It was a lot fun, I appreciate it!
