What has become a trend is adding over a dozen more achievements to a set that had two dozen or more achievements to a set with a limit of 400 pts: when the original developer felt the set was complete while following dev guidelines

The problem is that the community as a whole will never do that. Most people never check the forums. I've seen people bitch about achievements that were suggested before those people joined the site when they were finally added to a 400pt set.

This is how WIP projects like MAME & this site work actually. The devs who make the 1st achievements don't own the sets any more than the MAMEdev who make the game drivers own them. Things get added/fixed over time.

Anyway, my idea for these achievements came from wanting to make it consistent with Mega Man 4's weaponless achievements. And I also thought no damage stage achievements would be a nice challenge that was lacking in any of the prev achievements.

...replaying levels in all new ways and actually studying and mastering all the individual small enemies' attack patterns rather than just tanking through is a fresh and fun experience for me. So at least from me, thanks dude.

That's the way I like to play (trying to go hitless) but I end up playing to take as few hits as possible because hitless the entire game is extremely hard if not impossible with the randomness of enemies like Shadow Man, Doc Quick Man, etc.

Hitless stage achievements for this game aren't hard to learn though. MM3 is my favorite video game ever made and is very fair in terms of avoiding damage even when you're weaponless/using only the arm cannon.

Yeah, part of me worries about damageless stage achievements being added for every MM on here in the future but honestly I've had a lot of fun earning them for 3, which happens to be my favorite MM.

That being said though, man, these no-E-tank, buster-only ones for the Doc Robots in particular are kind of insane lol. I still to this day have a lot of trouble fighting the likes of Quick and Wood even with weaknesses. Borderline ludicrous.
